The Invisalign Treatment Process
If you decide that Invisalign is right for you, the treatment process will begin with a consultation at our office. During this consultation, we'll take x-rays, pictures, and digital scans of your teeth so that we can create a custom treatment plan for you.
We'll also review the cost of Invisalign with you and answer all your questions about the treatment process. Once your treatment plan is created, we'll order your custom Invisalign aligners.
These aligners will be made specifically for your teeth, gradually moving them into the desired position over time. You'll need to wear your aligners for at least 20 hours per day, and you'll need to switch to a new set of aligners every two weeks or so.
You'll also need to come in for regular checkups so that we can assess your progress and make sure that your treatment is on track. Overall, the entire treatment process usually takes 9-15 months.
The Benefits of Invisalign
Many benefits come with choosing Invisalign over traditional braces. Here are some of the most important ones:
- The aligners are practically invisible, so people won't even know you're wearing them unless you tell them.
- The aligners are removable, so you can take them out with ease. This makes eating or brushing your teeth much simpler!
- The treatment process is generally shorter than with traditional braces.
- There is no risk of getting cuts or scrapes from the wires and brackets of traditional braces.
- You'll be able to see your virtual treatment plan before you even start wearing the aligners, so you'll know exactly what to expect.
